The Story
This item is in clearance due to a poor finish on the grip and pommel, with a rewrap and a polish this would make a great display sword.
Due to advances in body armour at the beginning of the 13th century, blade design developed to include sharp more elongated points and angled guards. With the superior handling that came from the lack of weight at the tip, it was easier to connect a thrust and new combat techniques were possible.
As a sword enthusiast, this sword feels great with a huge base width and I really like it. As a fantasy fan, it reeks of Boromir's sword from Lord of the Rings!
